Horowitz Responds to the San Diego Union Tribune

Regarding “Israel, Palestine debate intensifies at SDSU” (May 12): Our poster campaign at San Diego State has caused quite a stir among the left-wing extremists they identified as leaders of a Hamas-financed boycott campaign on the SDSU campus to strangle the Jewish state. Liberals like Larry Summers, Alan Dershowitz and the Simon Wiesenthal Center have condemned the Boycott Divest and Sanction campaign as anti-Semitic. So did our posters. Even Hillary Clinton opposes the boycott campaign.

Hamas is a State Department-designated terrorist organization, which has sworn in its charter to exterminate the Jews. Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) — the group we targeted — is a supporter of Hamas. Every action it takes at SDSU such as “Israeli Apartheid Week” is designed to spread Hamas propaganda. Like Hamas, SJP claims Israel “occupies” Arab land.

This is a genocidal lie. The land on which Israel was created belonged to the Turks for 400 years previously. It was ceded when the Turks lost World War I. It is the same land on which Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon were created.

The Turks are not Arabs. Indians and Mexicans have a greater claim on America than Arabs do on Israel. The war in the Middle East is a 70-year continuous aggression by the Arabs — and now by Palestinian Islamists — against the Jews, because they are Jews.

It is disgraceful that Students for Justice in Palestine, which supports a genocidal campaign like this, is funded and supported by SDSU.
